English 4th Grade: Oral projects - Our cities

Morning to everyone,

English 6th Grade: Oral speaking project!

Morning to everyone,

As discussed in class, you are expected to carry out an oral speaking project based on the activity that appears on page 59 in your English textbooks.

You can interview a relative of yours in case they speak English or you can also pair up with one of your classmates if it is easier for you. You are supposed to adopt new identities, act out as journalists that interview people about films. Remember, these are the questions:

- What's your name?
- Can you tell me how to spell it, please?
- Can you tell me what films you like?
- Are there any films that you don't like?
- Can you tell me what the last film you watched was?
- Do you know which films are showing at the cinema at the moment?

Once you have recorded the final version, please upload the audio file to our Padlet wall. Feel free to ask any questions about this project. The deadline is Monday 21st March.

Here you can see how to upload your audio files. Do your best!

See you!

International Women's Day!

Today is a very especial day! International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.

International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere.

In the following video you can watch a short summary with the most important facts about this day.

“I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women's Rights”

An important woman that outstands in this movement is Emmeline PankHurst who fought for universal suffrage. Here you can watch a short video about this fact:

Besides, the next video contains several facts that let us notice how this inequality is present even in our daily lives. Food for thought.
