Wednesday 26th January


Hoy hemos estado practicando con los juegos online que tenéis en el blog para practicar las destrezas. Podéis encontrarlos en las entradas de vuestro curso. Además, hemos hecho oralmente primero y por escrito después el ejercicio 2 de la página 40. Hoy hemos hablado de las cosas que podríamos (MIGHT) hacer en la nieve. Aquí tenéis algunas frases que han dicho vuestros compañeros/as:

- I might walk on the snow.

- I might do a snow angel.

- I might climb a mountain.

- I might drink a hot chocolate.

- I might use a sleigh.

Thursday 27th January

Hoy hemos hablado de las cosas que podríamos (MIGHT) hacer en la playa. Aquí tenéis algunas frases que han dicho vuestros compañeros/as:

5th Grade: English Classes - From 17th until 21st January

Monday 17th January


Hemos escuchado la canción de la unidad en la página 37 del libro, podéis escucharla desde la plataforma. Hicimos algunos juegos para identificar las palabras del Picture Dictionary de este tema. Además, comenzamos a ver el primer Ninja Grammar que trata sobre los Indefinite Pronouns, hoy nos hemos centrado en el apartado PERSON. A continuación os dejo un enlace a una ficha con el resumen y ejemplos de estas palabras nuevas.


Como tarea, podéis hacer una frase con cada una de las palabras del apartado PERSON.

Tuesday 18th January


Hoy hemos corregido las frases de PERSON. Además, hemos continuado con el apartado PLACE de la ficha de repaso que tenéis en el enlace de ayer. Como tarea hay que escribir cuatro frases de esta nueva sección.

Wednesday 19th January


En la clase de hoy corregimos las frases de PLACE y continuamos viendo aquellas del último apartado, THING. Como tarea hay que hacer cuatro frases nuevas de esta última sección.

Friday 21st January


Hoy en clase hemos terminado de corregir las frases de THING. Además, hemos hecho el ejercicio 4 de la página 37 que consiste en pensar en una persona famosa y escribir tres frases con las palabras de PERSON de tal manera que cada una de ellas sirva como pista para que, por parejas, el compañero/a pueda adivinar de quién se trata. Por último, hemos escuchado la historia de la página 38 que podéis escuchar en la plataforma digital. De tarea hay que hacer los ejercicios 3, 4 y 5 de la página 39.

6th Grade: English Class - Tuesday 11th January

Good morning to you all!

Here you have a summary of what we did in the English class so you can do the same at home. 

- First, we had a look at the new story from unit 3 that is called Inteligent Decisions. We described all the pictures orally and then we finally listened to this story. In the following link you can have access to the recording. You can listen to it as many times as you wish. (Hemos descrito oralmente las viñetas de la historia de la unidad y hemos escuchado esta historia, podéis escucharla en el siguiente enlace tantas veces como queráis).


- Finally, we wrote down the new vocabulary items that make up the new picture dictionary from this unit. Here you have them: Be under pressure, breathe, damage, get better, get worse, in charge of, recover, soft drink, tablet, trendy, worried, constipated, library. (Aquí tenéis las palabras nuevas de la unidad para poder hacer el picture dictionary de este tema, podéis usar un diccionario online si no conocéis el significado de alguna).

5th Grade: English Class - Tuesday 11th January

Here you have a summary of the activities we did today in the English class. Please, try to do these activities at home.

- We played a miming game with the words from the picture dictionary. (Juego sobre el picture dictionary, podéis estudiar las palabras en casa).

- We listened to the story again and then we acted out the different scenes in it. (Escuchar de nuevo la historia de la unidad y representarla después).

- Finally, we did the listening exercise on page 36, you can listen to this recording on the digital platform. You will listen to descriptions so you can identify the six different people in this activity, please, write their names on your notebooks. (Escuchar en la plataforma el ejercicio 1 de la página 36 en el que escucharéis descripciones y tenéis que escribir el nombre de cada una de las seis personas que hay ahí).

6th Grade: Science Class - Tuesday 11th January

Morning to everyone,

As usual, here you can see a summary of what we did today in class for those of you who are following these classes from home.

Today we checked our mind-maps. Here you can see the most important aspects that yours should include: 

- Title (título)
- Definition of health (definición de salud)
- First branch: Which things influence our health? Name the four sections and provide examples. (Primera rama: Cosas que influyen en la salud. Nombrad las cuatro secciones y dar ejemplos).
- Second branch: Types of ilness. Infectious ilness are caused by micro-organisms: Virus, Bacteria, Protozoa, Fungi and ilness they can cause. Non-infectious ilness: malfunction of an organ or social causes: examples of both. (Segunda rama, tipos de enfermedades. Enfermedades infecciosas causadas por virus, protozoos, hongos o bacterias y enfermedades que pueden ocasionar. Enfermedades no infecciosas: fallo en algún órgano o con causas sociales: ejemplos de los dos tipos).

Besides, we worked on our Science Workbooks page 32. 

- En el ejercicio 1 hay un listening que podéis escuchar desde los archivos de audio que subí a comienzos del curso. Se trata de contestar a las preguntas tras escuchar a los trabajadores de la salud que entrevistan.

- En el ejercicio 2 hay que dar una explicación y dos ejemplos de lo que son non-infectious ilnesses.

- El ejercicio 3 trata de completar ese resumen con los aspectos más importantes de las enfermedades infecciosas.

6th Grade: English Class - Monday 10th January

Morning to everyone,

Welcome back to a new term! For those of you who are following this class from home, here you have a summary of what we did in class today so you can do the same at home.

- We talked about what we did at Christmas using the Past Simple. Here you have the text I wrote about my Christmas Holidays: (Hablamos sobre nuestras vacaciones de navidad usando el Past Simple y aquí os dejo un texto breve con un resumen de lo que yo hice durante las vacaciones).

On Christmas Eve I had dinner with my family, we ate pork and potatoes. On New Years’ Eve we went for a walk. After dinner we ate the twelve grapes. 
I love the presents I got! My mum gave me a book and my sister bought a plant for me. I had so much fun!

- Besides, we talked about our New Year's Resolutions, which basically refer to the plans you would like to achieve in this new year. Here you can see mine: (Además, hablamos sobre los propósitos de año nuevo, aquí tenéis una lista de los tres que me gustaría conseguir este año).

1. I would like to do more exercise.
2. I would like to learn Italian.
